Our client is seeking an experienced a Leveraged Finance VP or Senior Associate to join their team in Nashville, TN.
Years of experience desired:
- 2-3 years for an Associate
- 3-5 years for a Senior Associate
Qualifications:
- (Assoc/Sr Assoc): Open to strong C&I credit backgrounds as well as backgrounds listed above for VP
- (Associate/Sr): Bachelor's required
Responsibilities (Associate/Sr Associate):
- This role will be a blend of both underwriting and portfolio management for leveraged finance transactions (primarily unsponsored)
- This individual will help prepare initial transaction screening memos and full credit approval packages while providing relevant credit expertise throughout the life of the transaction.
- Participates in client meetings as well as internal discussions and approval meetings in support of the above, as appropriate.
- Reviews and analyzes historical audited financial information, interim management prepared financials and forecasts, and third-party research reports.
- Works with the VP to build detailed financial models in support of new business opportunities and internal projections, completing base case, upside case and downside case scenarios to analyze financial performance outlook, compliance with proposed financial covenants and capacity to repay.
- Summarizes findings in written approval documents and helps present results at approval meetings with credit partners.
