Job Description :
Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Strategy.
- Lead the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the mission and long-term sustainability.
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and federal grant regulations (HRSA, Medicaid, Medicare).
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan, especially as it relates to financial goals and capital investments.
- Budgeting & Forecasting.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including developing, managing, and reporting on organizational and departmental budgets.
- Provide accurate financial forecasting and cash flow analysis to support organizational planning and decision-making.
- Oversee grants management, including financial reporting and compliance with federal and state funding guidelines.
- Compliance & Reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulatory requirements, including Uniform Guidance, 340B, Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee annual financial audits and audits required for federal grants.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors, CEO, and other stakeholders, providing clear analysis of financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Team Leadership & Development.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Collaborate with the executive team and other department heads to ensure the best financial practices are embedded across the organization.
- Risk Management & Operational Efficiency.
- Develop risk management strategies to ensure the long-term financial health of the organization, including maintaining proper insurance coverage and managing organizational liabilities.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements

CPA certification is preferred.

Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
- In-depth understanding of nonprofit accounting, federal grant compliance, and FQHC regulations (including HRSA and 340B programs).
- Proven experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, and fiscal management within a healthcare environment.

Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages preferred.

Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
