SBA Underwriter (Commercial Banking) - Remote (EST)

·        Ideally seeking at least 3+ years of SBA loan underwriting experience

·        They handle both 504 & 7A

·        Bachelor's degree preferred

·        Will underwrite 3-5 deals per month

Some of the job responsibilities include:

·        Analyze corporate and personal financial statements, tax returns, other financial information provided by customers, and any due diligence (i.e. credit reports) in connection with any new loan request.

·        Working in conjunction with the RM, the underwriter will prepare complete underwriting memorandums, including financial projections with a sensitivity analysis, for submission to the appropriate approving authority.

·        Upon direction of the RM, interact with customers and/or their accountants in the credit analysis process when appropriate. May be requested to join the RM on visits to the customer or SBA conventions.

·        Maintains current knowledge of all related Small Business Administration regulations, bank policies, and regulatory requirements and helps determine Small Business Administration eligibility on loan requests.

·        Maintains or builds relationships with the Small Business Administration office, attorneys, and consultants to continue growth and development in knowledge and understanding of issues within Small Business Administration and the industry.
