Veritas Partners has an immediate need for a Vice President of Cybersecurity to join our team in the greater Jenkintown, PA area or in a remote capacity!


 


Summary:  The Vice President of Cybersecurity manages the Information Technology department’s Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Support teams. This role is responsible for the company’s cybersecurity program, including policy and technical enforcement, leading cybersecurity assessments and resulting remediations, and overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s Incident Response and Disaster Recover / Business Continuity planning and execution. This role is also responsible for overseeing  internal IT support program, while enhancing its systems and processes to add efficiency and scale and will provide strategic direction to improve company’s cybersecurity posture and efficiencies as the company grows. This is a technical hands-on leadership position with broad responsibilities and the approach to cybersecurity will be pragmatic and business-focused while enjoying working in in an entrepreneurial, fast paced organization. Ideal candidates will be great written and verbal communicators and comfortable and experienced presenting to and facilitating discussion with the Board and executive leadership.


 


 


Responsibilities:


 


Cybersecurity



  • Oversee management of all cybersecurity projects to strengthen cybersecurity posture and keep environment secure

  • Oversee improvement of company’s maturity level against the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

  • Own and lead the improvement of the following policies and corresponding procedures: IT Cybersecurity Policy, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity, Incident Response; this includes alignment with regulatory changes, industry best practices, and standard enterprise frameworks

  • Oversee and improve Incident Response teams and simulation testing for Disaster Recovery and Incident Response plans

  • Own relationships with forensic support firm and supplemental managed detection & response (MDR) firm

  • Oversee cybersecurity assessment and resulting remediation items, IT vendors as assigned, and their systems

  • Oversee Security Awareness Training program


Application Cybersecurity



  • Build and grow application-level cybersecurity program

  • Analyze application security and information security system architectures and establish security controls


Governance Risk and Compliance



  • Establish and maintain overall Cybersecurity risk management program, which is designed to ensure that the company’s technology systems and data are adequately protected and in compliance with all regulation / privacy guidelines / requirements


Strategy & Management



  • Define and lead execution of Cybersecurity, Support, and Infrastructure project roadmaps through use of individual contribution and management of team and external consultants  

  • Manage, guide and mentor Guide and mentor the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, IT Support teams in goal setting and task execution

  • Foster an inclusive team culture that allows members from all backgrounds to succeed while doing their best work

  • Analyze company’s environment to proactively identify problems and improvements and implement solutions

  • Report status of all areas of responsibility using metrics and quantitative analysis

  • Collaborate with IT Department’s Business Systems, CRM, PM teams and other departments to assist in cybersecurity, support, and process improvements


IT Support



  • Manage internal IT Support team to provide high quality service to staff, executive leadership and Board of Trustees

  • Lead improvement projects to enable the IT Support system and staff to become more efficient and support a greater number of employees

  • Oversee and provide strategic direction for infrastructure adjustments as offices and staff-requirements change

  • Oversee all aspects of website maintenance, security, support and development


IT Infrastructure



  • Manage networking infrastructure for all US, UK locations and remote employees, including implementation of security enhancements, maintenance, ensuring uptime and high availability of systems including the Virtual Private Network (VPN)

  • Oversee Inventory and Asset Management system and annual review process

  • Oversee and manage VoIP Phone System and support internal staff and call center needs through configuration changes; provide direction and technical expertise for call center-CRM integration


Education/Credentials:



  • Bachelor’s degree (required) and/or in master’s degree (preferred) in Cybersecurity, Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science-related field

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+ (CompTIA), and/or other related security credentials highly preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities::



  • Advanced knowledge of Cybersecurity landscape, concepts and frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001

  • Experience in cybersecurity assessments, audits, and questionnaires

  • 10+ years managing IT infrastructure and executing enterprise Information Security projects

  • 10+ years managing IT infrastructure – networks, systems, applications, and hardware

  • Demonstrates high-level awareness of the financial services industry and electronics payments

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft’s Office 365 stack of products, including Azure

  • Advanced knowledge of the following infrastructure components: networking equipment and applications, switching, VPN, VoIP phone systems

  • Knowledge of CRM system, preferably Salesforce

  • Experience in team leadership and operations management

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to solve problems and drive solutions

  • Self-driven, personable, willing to define and drive direction of role 

  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Superb written and oral communication skills
