Job Description :

The incumbent has management responsibility for the operations for the bank's Delinquency Control Center. Particular emphasis is placed on the strategy, planning and direction of cost effective solutions to business issues. Collecting on all of the bank's credit products, recovery of collateral, bankruptcy identification and other losses. 


 


Qualifications:



  • Seeking ten years of related work experience including direct marketing, business development, relationship management, people management, contract negotiation and product development within a financial services environment is required. 

  • Five years progressively responsible work experience in all levels of collections, preferable in a financial institution required.

  • Seeking backgrounds from larger financial institutions ($10B+)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • MBA/Masters is a plus


Key notes:



  • This team covers all consumer products collections - mortgages, consumer loans, auto loans

  • Seeking experience running large teams (75+)

  • Auto loan experience is key

  • 3rd party collections backgrounds are unfortunately not favored for this role

  • Seeking a strategic/transformative leader - new ideas, process improvements & change management

  • Will oversee two leaders/directors

  • Collections staff is 150+

  • Will help with relocation costs for those open to moving to San Antonio


Responsibilities include:



  • Manages assigned functions ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation by analyzing, developing, interpreting, revising and implementing related policies, programs and procedures. Evaluate and advises on the short and long term impact of programs, strategies and regulatory action.

  • Manages the policies, procedures, and processes that exist across the collections lifecycle, including early, mid, and late-stage collections, chargeoff and post-chargeoff recovery activities, and specialized collections involving bankruptcy, fraud, and deceased accounts.

  • Serves as an officer of the bank and acts as a member of the Management Staff, working with Management and Executives to develop goals and strategies in order to meet objectives set by Senior Management and obtain agreement on those goals and strategies.

  • Provides leadership and management in developing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice in all areas of responsibility. Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the areas of responsibility.
